PPM Support Tip: UI rule - Apply on Page load on transition limitation

There is a problem with the behavior of UI rule, Rule Event: apply on page load. It is working differently in a step and on a transition.

Page Load rule:
Dependence: Document Required is equal to Yes
Result: setFieldRequired(true)
Result field: Document

This is a workflow button, after you click on it the request will go to a look ahead reconfirm page, but the problem is on page load rule is not fired on this look ahead page. This is a limitation, and add an on creation rule will not help since  on creation means create a new request and the rule fired just when the new request page load.

A possible workaround is to avoid look ahead page (i.e. do not check re-confirm to Y for this request status). A document defect for this issue has been logged - look ahead page will not trigger on page load rule, the ID is QCCR1L53704 and the trackable link is:
