PPM Support Tip: Unable to Search Requests by Request Type with "User Defined Token" User Access

When Request Type's "User Access" is based on a "User Defined Token", unable to Search Requests by that Request Type

Demand Management issue - Performance issue causes limit on Search Requests page.

If the Request Type's "User Access" is based on a "User Defined Token", the User is able to open the Requests, yet unable to search by that specific Request Type in the "Search Requests" Page.

This is a limiation by design.

PPM does not evaluate Token in User Access tab on the Request Search page. It is a balance between performance and security, for if Token Security was introduced in this scenario, PPM has to evaluate all Requests of this Request Type to determine if it should appear on the Request Type list of the Request Search page, which will cause very poor performance.

Defect QCCR1L53529

Workaround: Do searches without specifying the Request Type.
