PPM Support Tip: Unknown error found in the server log.

The following error has been recorded in the server.log file:
"ERROR JSESSIONID=734BFF38911379145967150D942DBD41.pmbp2,USERNAME=X115938:TP-Processor8:com.kintana.core.web.filter.security:2013/12/03-14:35:19.519 CET: The html tag contained an attribute that we could not process. The xmlns attribute has been filtered out, but the tag is still in place. The value of the attribute was "http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40"."

 

However there aren't any on-screen errors observed that appear to be related to it.


When PPM is upgraded to 8.04 or 9.12 for example, you may have an issue displaying some links in Project & Portfolio Management (PPM). The error message can be seen in the logs. This is due to a new feature that was introduced called Anti-Samy, to enhance security. This feature conducts strict scans against html tags in text fields.

 

There is an existing defect, QCCR1L44664 (fixed), to optimize the use on anti-samy. From version 9.14, you can disable this feature by adding the following parameter to the server.conf:

 

com.kintana.core.server.ENABLE_ANTISAMY=false

 

Remember to run kUpdateHtml.sh after making the change.
