PPM Support Tip: Users are able to see the database password in log files

Knowledge Base Article: KM01004896

The command execution prints the database password in the log files when the ksc_local_exec uses this token [AS.DB_PASSWORD]

Non encrypted database password in server.conf file prints the real password in execution logs.

R&D recommends to use encrypted password in server.conf file.

The install/administration guide states the below for DB_PASSWORD parameter:

Example  #!#<Password>#!#

You can run the kconfig.sh in order to encrypt it.

Best regards,
Randall
