PPM Support tip: 9.30 New cluster Configuration.

In prior version of PPM, there were more than a dozen of ports to configure in server.conf for setup cluster.

In 9.30, the following ports are not required anymore.

APP_SERVER_MULTICAST_PORT

APP_SERVER_NAMING_SERVICE_RMI_PORT

APP_SERVER_NAMING_SERVICE_BINDING_PORT

APP_SERVER_WEBSERVICE_PORT

APP_SERVER_JRMP_INVOKER_RMI_PORT

APP_SERVER_POOLED_INVOKER_BINDING_PORT

APP_SERVER_HAJNDI_RMI_PORT

APP_SERVER_HAJNDI_BINDING_PORT

APP_SERVER_POOLEDHA_BINDING_PORT

APP_SERVER_JMX_RMI_PORT

These ports were required for internal services of Jboss, for example, Jgroups channel, Naming service, HA JNDI and JMX interface.

Since Jboss has been removed, these ports are not required any more.

9.30, only 2 or 3 ports for PPM cluster, the configuration is much easier.

It’s safe to leave them in server.conf or remove them in server.conf.

Best regards,
Randall
