PPM System End users Users are having issues with their Default Dashboard being wiped out/changed

I am a system Admin over our System at our organization.

We have been getting an influx of users that are reporting that their previously accessible Default Dashboard being wiped out/modified.

Some of the defaults include their Time sheet creation and its now gone.

We are either having to instruct them to go back in and add the shared portlet back or switching the page to one that includes the items that they previously had.

I am confused as to why this is happening now considering I have not done an system upgrade, installed a patch, modified any of the portlets and their attributes.

About a month ago I did add a command to the server.conf file that disabled the redundant "Delegate Decision" button on workflows, and recompiled the file, but this is the only thing I can remotely guess that could have had an impact.

They just started reporting this issue last week though and I have no idea what can change settings.

Hi Saiyajinali,

Which PPM version are you using?
Do you see any error message in the server log? please provide it.
What have changed in the Dashboard: portlets, etc...?
Please provide us a screenshot of this.

Please perform the following steps:

a- Stop PPM server

b- Delete work & tmp folders from PPM_HOME/server/SERVER_NAME (repeat for all nodes)

c- From the command prompt under PPM_HOME/bin run:

sh kUpdateHtml.sh
sh kJSPCompiler.sh

d- Rename the serverlog file

e- Start up the server.

How to prevent users from changing portlets on the default dashboard:

Publish a Dashboard module

Portlets in published Dashboard modules cannot be modified by the users. You can create and publish a Dashboard module from the Dashboard, under the menu Module.

Thanks in advance.
