PPM support tip: How to set rules to hide a field in a Request.

How to set rules to hide a field in a Request.

In this scenario the field Night will disappear when we set the field Day to “yes”. We can use text validation or we can create a new validation like drop down.

1) Workbench

2) Demand Mgmt

3) Request Type: XXXXX

4) Request Type Fields

5) Created two new fields.

DAY

NIGHT

6) Create a new rule.

Rule Name: Hide_field

Enable: Yes

Rule Event: Apply on field change

Rule Type: Advance

Dependencies

Field Name                                         Condition

DAY                                                        is equal to yes

Go to result fields and click in "New"

NIGHT

Go to Logic: UI Rules

setFieldVisible(false)

7) Click in the "Request Header Type"

😎 Click in "Field Groups"

9) Put a check mark under:

PFM Proposal: Allows Request to be considered as Proposals in the Portfolio Manager

Go to the Dashboard

  1. Create
  2. Request
  3. Name: XXXXXXX
  4. Go to the field DAY and put “yes” and the field Night will disappear.
