Project Gantt Portlet

Jump to solution

How does the hierarchy work in this portlet?  We are trying to get a view that will show the hierarchy of projects, tasks and sub-tasks; but when we bring the gantt up, it simply shws all lines without indentation.  Is there a way to change the display without a re-coding effort?

Just looking for a simple Gantt that displays this example:

Project 1

     Display Work Plan

Project 2

     Display Work Plan

Project 3

     Display Work Plan

Project 4

     (No work plan to display)

Project 5

     Display Work Plan

Thanks.

Re: Project Gantt Portlet

Hi Max,

RnD and product design stated the following:

The portlet will indent only if no filters are specified which might limit the results set, except limiting the hierarchy depth. It's the date filter which is suppressing indentation of the tasks in the Gantt portlet. Specifically, the customer will need to remove the Time Range filter (by selecting Show entire time range).

Even if all project tasks lie within the date range filter, specifying a range will suppress the indentation.
This is by design.

Best regards,
Randall
