SET VALIDATION IN EXECUTION WORKFLOW STEP

Jump to solution

Hello

Is there any way to set a validation for a field either in EXECUTION Workflow step or via RULE?

I have a below requirement:

There is a field "Tender Sign Off" which is using a drop down validation with below values:

Required

Approved

Rejected

In Progress

I want a functionality so I can populate only below three values for field "Tender Sign Off" in one particular status:

Approved

Rejected

In Progress

Please advise.

Thanks,

Shiwan

I would like to thank Utkarsh Mishra who has provided below solution and it worked out for me.

"You cannot do it in Drop down, but yes you can do it using Auto Complete list.

Create ACL validation using SQL like

Selec Status_name, "Approved","Reject",'Cancelled' from kcrt_statuses where status_name like '[REQ.STATUS_NAME]'

union

Selec Status_name, "Approved","Not Approved",'Cancelled' from kcrt_statuses where status_name like '[REQ.STATUS_NAME]'

union

.

.

.

so on.

Or Create a user data field in Drop Down validation called as status and then create multiple value like

Approved - user data = Status_name

.

.

.

.

Create set of Values for each status as required.

Now create a ACL with SQL to query above drop down with '[REQ.STATUS_NAME]'

This way you can change the validation values based on statues."
