SSL configuration not working

Hi,

We have configured web server with SSL certificate installed.

We are able to access PPM using http but not with https.

We can reach to the apache server test page using https but redirection to PPM application is not happening.

Can you advise what could be wrong?

Regards,

Ashwani

Hi Ashwani,

Please share all the details of the changes & configuration you've done if you want us to be able to provide some help. Make sure to include any change you've done to server.conf.

Also, have you run kUpdateHtml.sh before restarting PPM Server?

Hi,

We have installed SSL certificate on the web server and the default apache test page for http and https are loading without any issue.

server.conf changes

1. When Base_URL is http application is responding fine

2. When Base_URL is https application page is not loading (No page found)

3. Added com.kintana.core.server.HTTPS_PORT=443

After these changes, we have run kUpdateHtml.sh and restarted the server.

Regards,

Ashwani

Is Apache configured to work with PPM with mod_jk or mod_proxy? Could you share your relevant Apache config?

And what's your value for EXTERNAL_WEB_PORT in server.conf?

Also, note that the parameter HTTPS_PORT is only relevant when SSL is provided by PPM's Tomcat Server. If you use SSL from the Web Server (or load balancer), it's not used as PPM will use HTTP (or AJP13) with the web server/Load balancer.

Hi,

As I fetch the config file for you, here are the answer to other queries:

1. Apache is configured to work with PPM with mod_jk

2. EXTERNAL_WEB_PORT is using 8009 in server.conf
