Save Labor Costs in Request type

Hi,

Is it possible to store the labor cost values from the Financial summary into the Project field. The staffing profiles get updated frequenty and the Staffing Profile Financial Summary Sync Service runs every 30 minutes. We want to store the values into the project request type. Is there any other way apart from creating a report and scheduling it ?

Hello Amar,

My name is Bryan and I will assist you on this thread.

Unfortunately there is no other way to store the values in the Project Request Types.

If you want to customize the application, you can put in contact with PSO team and they will help you.

Thanks.

Bryan.

Amar, easiest way to do this is write a rule and populate the field on page load.

Also the staffing profile sync service can be reduced to 5 mins, if you want the cost to be updated real quick.

Mishra,Thanks for the response. However we are trying to display the values on the portlet. The on page load rules will be saved into DB only when the requests are saved or atleast the requests has to be loaded. It will not help our case.

Regards

Amar

In that case - we have similar setup at our end, we have built custom portlet and datasource the query fetches information straight from the financial summary - the portlets can be placed on the Summary tab of the project.
