Scan QR Code error when exporting to Excel

Hi All,

We have a export to excel functionality in most of our customised report. The Export to Excel is also a customised JSP with this piece of code:

<%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" import="java.util.*"%>
<%@ page import="*"%>
<%@ page import="*"%>

                String strReportNumber = request.getParameter("num");
                /*String strName = "//nvautst001/app_gifsit_ppmc_test$/ITG/reports/rep_"+strReportNumber+".html";*/
    String strName = "//$/ITG/reports/rep_"+strReportNumber+".html";

                String thisLine;
                FileInputStream fin =  new FileInputStream(strName);
                BufferedReader myInput = new BufferedReader
                                                                  (new InputStreamReader(fin));
                while ((thisLine = myInput.readLine()) != null) {

/*           finally
                  if(myInput != null)

 However, after we upgrade to 9.41, everytime we export to excel, we are getting this weird result (screenshot attached). We were wondering if there is some Mobile App config that is not working well with the export to excel that could have caused this issue. We do not have mobile app enabled in our environment so we are not sure where is this coming from.

Thank you.

Hello Cath,

Unfortunately since this is a custom report, we don't have official documentation about this matter.

We can help with problems that are defects in the PPM product, but, unfortunately, we cannot help with implementation (customization) questions or best practices as we do not have the relevant experience or the necessary resources. These type of questions need to be handled by our Professional Services Organization (PSO).

Also, I attached the Mobile Website Client User's Guide that you can check.

Hi Cath,

This is not related to whether Mobile Web Client/QR Code is enabled or not. The problem here is that you're trying to retrieve a resource from PPM (here, a generated report) without being authenticated. As a result, you're prompted with the PPM login screen, which gets exported instead of the JSP contents.

Your JSP likely won't be even called, as your users are hitting the login page instead.

Check in the PPM Administration console (or in your Server.conf); there is a parameter "AUTHENTICATE_REPORTS" which is now "true" by default for Security purposes. If you want your users to be able to access your reports without being authenticated, set this to "false". You may need to stop PPM, and run for changes to take effect.

Hopefully that should take care of your problem.
