Jump to solution

Hi,

is it possible to centrally configure default edit effort mode for all staffing profiles (e.g. setting "Table View") in PPM9.31?

Thanks

Hi Nicola,

There is a new parameter DEFAULT_STAFFING_EFFORT_EDIT_MODE . It is documented in the Release notes:

"Specifying Editable View of Staffing Profile Page

Starting from version 9.31, as a project manager or resource manager, you can select only one view of
the Staffing Profile page as the view under which you can edit forecast demand and allocation. Once you
set one view as the editable view, the other view becomes ready-only. For example, if you decide that
only in the Gantt view of the Staffing Profile page can you edit forecast demand and allocation, then you
cannot edit them in the Table view of the Staffing Profile page.
A new parameter DEFAULT_STAFFING_EFFORT_EDIT_MODE is introduced to specify the default editable
view. If you set this parameter to Gantt in the Administration Console, or do not specify its value, you
can only edit effort in the Gantt view. If you set this parameter to Table, you can only edit effort in the
Table view. By default, the value is Gantt.
Once you have set a value for the parameter, it is applied to all the staffing profiles. However, you can
change the editable view for individual staffing profile."

You may look also at:

"Switching between the Table View and Gantt View in One Staffing
Profile Page
In previous versions, the Gantt view and Table view of the Staffing Profile page are displayed in two
separate pages. Version 9.31 introduced a new parameter, ENABLE_STAFFING_PROFILE_LEGACY_VIEW.
With this parameter available, you can decide whether or not you want these two views of the Staffing
Profile page to be displayed in two separate pages. You can configure this parameter in the
Administration Console."

Yes, we have.

Open PPM Administration Console -> Application Configuration, set the value of DEFAULT_STAFFING_EFFORT_EDIT_MODE = TABLE.
