Hi All,
We have migrated from one server(old) to a new server. As part of client new policies they did not provide OS user credentials instead they have created sudo user for OS user.We are getting following error when we try to add attachments in request type in the new server. Details of Version : PPM9.14
Error:
"The file could not be uploaded because the attachment root directory does not exist on the HP Project and Portfolio Management Server. Please contact your HP Project and Portfolio Management Center System Administrator for assistance. (KNTA-10839)"
NOTE: Attachments are stored in :"ppm_home/attachments" , that attachment folder with sudo OS user is having all permissions(-rwx) and we have tested using touch command.
Can any one help us regarding this.

found the solution:
PPM has been configured to use com.kintana.core.server.SSH_PRIVATE_IDENTITY_FILE in the server.conf.
referednce: HP PPM Center Installation and Administration Guide for configuring private key authentication with secure shell.

Hi,
Are you using Documentum?
Also, please note that since 9.13, changing the attachments directory is made through the administrative console, not the server.conf
Kind regards

I am having the same issue.
Receiving error "
The file could not be uploaded because the attachment root directory does not exist on the HP Project and Portfolio Management Server. Please contact your HP Project and Portfolio Management Center System Administrator for assistance. (KNTA-10839)
This error is occuring in our test environment.
We just did a routine database refresh last week and there was no issue attaching docments to requests.
Now we keep getting the error. I didnt understand the solution as I didnt see that command in our server.conf file.

Hi,
apply the solution from here: https://softwaresupport.softwaregrp.com/doc/KM1366049.
If you are using file system storage for documents, you will get this error with every environment refresh, so it should be part of the environment refresh procedure.
cheers

I am getting this error when trying to attach/upload XLS files from our application. Can anyone help me with this?
Is this a runtime error or somewhere it will be declared.
