Upgrade from PPM 9.12 to latest version (currently PPM 9.31)

Jump to solution

Hello, I'm running PPM 9.12 and I need to upgrade to latest version, which currently is 9.31

As far as I know, Documentum is not used, I can see attachment files on PPM filesystem folders.

1) Is this upgrade path supported?

9.12 -> 9.20 -> 9.30 -> 9.31

2) Is there a shorter supported path?

3) Once I complete the upgrade to 9.20, can I start ppm 9.20 and do some tests? or running it can cause problems?

3.1) Same as question 3), when I reach 9.30.

thanks and kind regards,
Diego

Hello Diego,

Please see my answers between lines:

1) Is this upgrade path supported?

9.12 -> 9.20 -> 9.30 -> 9.31

A/ that is the correct way to make the upgrade.

2) Is there a shorter supported path?

A/ The only way to make the upgrade is: 9.12 -> 9.20 -> 9.30 -> 9.31

3) Once I complete the upgrade to 9.20, can I start ppm 9.20 and do some tests? or running it can cause problems?

3.1) Same as question 3), when I reach 9.30.

A/ you can do tests and monitor the application.

Also for more information, I am attaching here the upgrades guide for PPM 9,2x and 9.3x.

Hope this helps.

Best Regards.

Carolina.
