User is receiving a 1722 error when trying to install the MSP Plugin

We have a user that is receiving an "Error 1722. There is a problem with the Windows Installer package.  A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected."  Any suggestions?

Hi Roger,

From the screenshot, it looks like an error occurs when the installer is installing "VSTO 3.0", which is a library required for the plugin to work.  The workaround will be to download and install VSTO 3.0 manually first - you can get it from https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=23656 . 

Once VSTO 3.0 is installed, run the PPM MSP Installer, it should skip the VSTO installation  and hopefully proceed with the installation.

Please advise on the result,
