What's in the license.conf?

Jump to solution

Hi!

I received a new license.conf file for PPM and would like to know whih information is encoded in it.

Is there a way to check the license without having to put the file on my server and restart it?

Hi 5keeve,

Hope you are doing well.

You can used kLicenseReader.sh to see what we have in the license file.

Systax:

kLicenseReader.sh [-filename <License_File_Name>] [-filepath <License_File_Path>]

This is a strange tool 😉

Why is it required to split path and filename?

I tried to execute it like this:

 ./kLicenseReader.sh -filename /opt/SP/weloadm/home/vgpp10vr.license.conf

The strange error message

Can not find the specified license file : conf//opt/SP/weloadm/home/vgpp10vr.license.conf

Didn't give a hint to me that I need to call it as

./kLicenseReader.sh -filepath /opt/SP/weloadm/home/ -filename vgpp10vr.license.conf

But then it worked.

So thanks a lot.
