get notification recipient's name

Jump to solution

Hi fellows,

Maybe simple but I stuck on this.

How can we get workflow mail notification recepient's name to say "Dear something".
This notification is sent to a security group so I don't already know it.
NOTIF.TO_USERS token takes all recepients' names. Not usable.

Hello Murat,
Unfortunately you cant send a notification from PPM application to an individual referencing as "Dear ABC" when the recipient of that notification is a security group. The PPM application sends one notification to all individuals that are part of the security group.

However what you can do is, send the notification from database instead. You can configure an execution step and initiate a call to DB function (UTL_MAIL.send or COM_ITG_UTILITIES.COM_SEND_MAIL) which can send individual notification running a for or while loop.
