Hi All,

Could any one please provide steps on how to configure addResource() UI rule.

As the information given in demand mgmt configurationguide does not have much info/example about this rule.

Thanks in advance

Re: how to configure addResource() UI rule

Hello Nagaraju,

Adds the specified resource to the list of resources on the request. This rule only applies to request types that track resources. For more information about tracking resources,  This is an example:

1. Open request type in WB, add a new field: Name = TEST_UI, TOKEN = TEST_IU, Validation = CRT - Assigned To – Enabled
2. Create a new rule,
Rule Name: add a new resource
    Process subsequent rules: Yes
    Rule Type: Advanced
    Rule Event: Apply before transition
    Dependencies: TEST_UI contains any value
    Logic: UI Rules - addResource('[REQD.P.TEST__UI] #@#[REQD.VP.TEST__UI]',10 )
   Result: Proposal Name.
3. Go to request type. On Resources tab, Set Track Resources to ON, and set Scheduled Effort to ON.
4. Create a new request. Fill up the TEST_UI field equal to any resource.
5. Run WF action.

Hope this helps.

Carolina

Re: how to configure addResource() UI rule

Hi Nagaraju,

What is the name of the token that you put in the field create?

For example my token is: Test_UI, the loging should be: addResource('[REQD.P.TEST_UI] #@#[REQD.VP.TEST_UI]',10 )

Your SQL is making use of REQD.P.T_NAME and REQD.VP.T_NAME, but that value is not referenced in the dependancies section. Modify the dependancies to contain a reference to the problem token: REQD.P.T_NAME.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

Best Regards,

Carolina.
