upgrading PPMs EBS server to R12

Jump to solution

I am running PPM 930 with Oracle and EBS extensions.

Primary object Migrator is "linked integration"

My DBA would like the Primary object Migrator (EBS instance) to run R12.

The documentation does not discuss how to do this, so I just re-deployed the EBS extension and gave it the link to a fresh R12 EBS instance.

The deployment worked OK, except there is no CLM schema, and no value sets: CLM_DATABASES and CLM_DB_LINKS.
Shouldn't the deployment script have created those?

Is there a document that tells how to change the EBS instance?

Hi Mandragoran,

Please answer for me the questions bellow:

Do you have the EBS configured ?

Do you have the object migrator installed in the E-Business suite ?

Once you have OM installed, you need to create new DB links to the newly created instance

And use those DB links in the PPM environment where the Ebusiness suite is configured.

Please configure the value sets to the new db links.

That doesnt automatically configure

You need to congirure as part of setting up the OM instance.

I also attached the "HP Object Migrator Guide" for you. For creating and Registering Database Links and configure Oracle E-Business Suite system to work with Object Migrator, please refer to no.39.

Hope this helps,

I installed OM many years ago on the 11.5.10 EBS only.

I think I need to run it again and point it to the new R12 EBS.

Thank you I will try it.

Yes, I installed Object Migrator on the R12 EBS instance, and it worked.
