upload data in Financial Summary through excel
Hi Team,
I want to check that do we have any functionality in PPM 9,.63 to upload cost data through Excel in financial summary?
If yes, Could you please share the document on this.

Hi Roshan,
You can try to use the XML Importer that can be downloaded in this thread. It lets you import quite a few different entities into PPM, including financial data (Budgets/Costs/Benefits), but has three main limitations:
- It only lets you insert new entities (in this case, new financial lines in your financial summary). You cannot edit existing data.
- The target users are Professional Services, Partners and PPM Admins; it is too tedious to use for business end-users, and as it leverages an Excel macro to generate an XML file that will later be imported in PPM, it may be a bit of a pain to get it to work on Excel - and it won't work with Office 365, only with Excel Desktop.
- It was initially developped for Professional Services a long time ago, and even if it's still working on latest PPM version, you may not get official Support for it.
If you're looking for a way to edit PPM data in Excel in a user-friendly way and are willing to pay for that capability, you should take a look at the PPMetrics XLI.
