workbench in Microsoft edge

Jump to solution

Attempting to open the Workbench in Microsoft Edge.  I get the following message:

Clicking Open Workbench cannot open PPM Workbench in Chrome/Firefox/Safari, as Chrome/Firefox/Safari stops supporting NPAPI.

You can try the option Open Workbench on Desktop in Chrome/Firefox/Safari or use Internet Explorer to open PPM Workbench.

Any ideas?

Hello,
Most of the browsers like chrome, FF and edge have stopped supporting NPAPI framework . Hence you wont be able to open workbench though application.
You either have to use IE to open workbench or as the popup msg suggests, open workbench using Open Workbench on Desktop option,

Thanks,

Actually, the "Open workbench on Desktop" will also go away in the future as it's using JNLP which is not supported by the latest versions of Java, so the preferred way to open workbench is "Open Workbench App" if you're on a PPM version that includes it.
