Exception happened in file transfer

Hi

We have a Forge 510 with the latest version of Platespin installed
(3.3), we have workloads for Windows 2008 and Windows 2003 working fine,
however our workload for SLES 10 running GroupWise 8 will not sync. We
get communication disconnects from the Linux box.

The job hangs at the data copy and them fails, the console on the VM
confirms that a connection has been established with the source though.

Anyone else with this issue?

Thanks
Wayne

Re: Exception happened in file transfer

Simply stating that the file transfer hung, then failed, doesn't really
give enough information. That can be caused by a number of different
things.

Is it only happening for the one SLES 10 workload? Are there similar
issues with other SLES 10 workloads, or other workloads in the same
subnet as this failing one?

What is the actual error you are getting, in full? Is OES 2 installed
on this workload? What is the uname -a output for this source?

What version of LVM is being used, if any? Are we using root
credentials in the workload configuration, or was it configured using a
non-root user? Did this workload ever work?

I don't mean to barrage you with questions, but there is a lot of
information that would need to be gathered before the issue can be
pinpointed. Can you upload diagnostics for the job to
ftp.novell.com/incoming and post the link? A lot of the information
needed can be found in there.
