Windows 2008 R2 P2P post migration tasks

Hi Team,

When we have done the Physical to Physical (Hardware: HP ProLiant and
OS: Windows 2008 R2) migration by using PlateSpin 9.0.2/11/12 version.
What post migration tasks we have to do? Generally we are doing the
below things.

1) Create Teaming
2) Configure IP details
3) SPP upgrade

When I observed the target server after recent migration, I can still
see entire registry is with old server name.

Regards,
Yesebu Borugadda

Hi Yesebu Borugadda,

If you are using PlateSpin Migrate 12.0, please update with mandatory
HotFix (HF1). It's General recommendation and not specific to your
question.
Post Migration, the Conversion JOB can execute a custom action on your
target action and is configurable option. Please refer section 7.13 of
User Guide http://tinyurl.com/jzjcovq
With respect to your question, "I can still see entire registry is with
old server name", Is new host name & net bios name for Target specified
during the Conversion JOB ? Please refer section 5.2 of User guide
http://tinyurl.com/j89sb55
If yes and still you seeing old Server name in Target registry then it
could be a bug; in that case file a Service Request with Technical
Support. They will help you to resolve your issues.
