Visible in Browser test

I want to measure when certain elements on the page are being displayed in the browser and visible to the user - and when they began to render, and end rendering ( not loaded). Can you point me to any documentation on how to do this?

Also I need to measure the first input delay - from the time the user clicks on the page,to when the browser is able to respond to this input.

Re: Visible in Browser test

Hi,

first, what protocol are you using?

Because with SAP GUI protocol you will be able following the steps in this link:

https://admhelp.microfocus.com/lr/en/12.60/help/WebHelp/Content/VuGen/UI/118300_ui_gui_properties_advanced_node.htm

However, some of the details that you are requesting for could be generated in the web page diagnostic. Here you have a link with more information about it

Re: Visible in Browser test

Thanks for the documentation, however it doesn't appear that I would be able to do this in Loadrunner as it seems to measure the load time, as opposed to the actual render time.  For example, the documentation says "with the Web Page Diagnostics graph, which displays the average download time (in seconds) for each monitored Web page during each second of the load test scenario run"

Also I noted on this page, there are references to the download of a component, which is different than visible in browser.

https://admhelp.microfocus.com/lr/en/12.60-12.61/help/WebHelp/Content/Analysis/109950_r_GR_Page_Component_Breakdown.htm

The GUI Properties > Advanced Recording Options does indicate that you can "Record rendering-related property values" However, render is different than the browser painting the object in the browser. I am looking to know when the object has been painted not rendered.  I'm assuming the render they are speaking of is the render tree construction.
