My colleague Yair Horovitz posted the following text on quite a few forums.

Just wanted to let you know we've published a tips and tricks document to help you make the most of the new Ajax TruClient protocol available in LoadRunner v11.

Ajax TruClient is a new advanced protocol for modern JavaScript-based applications, including Ajax.
The protocol emulates user activity within a Web browser. Scripts are developed interactively in Mozilla Firefox.

The tips and tricks document is available at HP Software Self-Service site. It is also attached to this post.

Please send your feedback directly to me or to lt_cust_feedback@hp.com

Hi,

Iam doing correlation to pick random values from the list of values

the value which is getting changed is

/html/body/div[21]/ul/li[12]
/html/body/div[21]/ul/li[10]

so iam editing teh script as var abc=("/html/body/div[21]/ul/li"); in the step which i have to pass teh dynamic value,

I am not sure of where to substitute this variable abc in script so that i will pick random value.

please suggest me how to proceed.Thanks in Advance.

Greetings,

I noticed the link posted is for http://support.openview.hp.com/selfsolve/document/KM1017957 which addresses parametrization, the document attached in your post addresses different things as well.

I created this KB with that document with the document attached in your response:

Hello,

Any way to use download filters in Truclient scripts? I need to exclude google-analytics etc..

There is a call you can add using JavaScript action like

Utils.addAutoFilter(filter, isIncluded );

For google analytics I guess  it should be like

Utils.addAutoFilter("http://www.google-analytics.com", true);

Utils.addAutoFilter("https://www.google-analytics.com", true);

and if you want to cleanup filters you should use

Utils.cleanupAutoFilters ();

I hope this helps!

Thanks!

Have you tried to insert a keystroke as a custom event? I had to do something like this before and I used the menu on the left (left click under the step right before and insert a custom step) Sometimes the recorded step is not what you think it is.
