Fallback to Block based if file based transfer fails or viceversa

Re: Fallback to Block based if file based transfer fails or viceversa

In full migration, if user has configured job as  file based and for some reason it fails, automatically switch to block based migration and viceversa. User shouldn't be forced to reconfigure the job as block based migration. However warning message should be shown in diags and in UI to investigate further.

If one switched from file to block transfer, then surely that would essentially trigger a full replication because the original block structure would not have been maintained and so most or all blocks would have to be copied...?

That will be for sure. However we will save customer time from reconfiguring the job again and most of the times customer is not even aware why job has failed.
