ALM 14 OTA Login Backward Compatibility not working

For ALM 14, the Login method of the TDConnection object is supposed to be supported when you reference the IdmClientSdk.dll and IdmSdkWrapper.dll, but I cannot seem to get it to work (https://admhelp.microfocus.com/alm/en/14.00/online_help/Content/SSO/alm-SSO-single-sign-on.htm#hp-minitoc-item-6). I referenced the dlls, but I get an error when I try to call the Login method from the TDConnection object.

I get "Failed to retrieve configuration settings or configuration is invalid. Request URL:..."

The code is pretty simple.

var tdConn = new TDConnection();
tdConn.InitConnectionEx(serverUrl);
tdConn.Login(userName, password); #this fails
//... rest of code

Any ideas?

Re: ALM 14 OTA Login Backward Compatibility not working

Hi,

Are you sending a username / password known to your IdP? You can login into the ALM 14 Client with these credentials?

Or do you pass the Client ID + API key as username / password?

Regards,

Dirk
