Re: Any way to have indicator or query to know number of test cases deleted from a project?

Hi Vinay,

In AUDIT_LOG and AUDIT_PROPERTIES table of each project , information related to the test scripts deletion will be recorded.

Try deleting test script in a DEV environment project and see how its recorded in AUDIT_LOG and AUDIT_PROPERTIES table.

do a count(*) on all such records group by for unique test script names.

HI,

If you just want to know HOW MANY test hve been deleted...

Test Plan, Grid View, with all filters cleared will tell you how many tests are on the project now.

Order by Test ID will show you the maximum Test ID in use.

Goes to figure the difference is most likely the number of tests that have been deleted. ( Just make sure you select to retrieve all if its a large project.)

Note: The above should be correct for a project that you know was created as a new project. If it was created by copying from a 'master' project, then it MAY not be correct. Basically each project keeps track of what the next test ID should be. When you delete tests, - even if you delete all tests - this is not reset. If you now create a new project as a copy of this 'Empty', master project, the first TestID in your new project will not be 1.

You can get the above via dashboard excel reports as:

Get the total number of tests created in project from:

select MAX(TS_TEST_ID) from test

or

select SQ_SEQ_VALUE from SEQUENCES where SQ_SEQ_NAME = 'TEST'

And the number of tests in project now from

select count(*) from test
