Can we link a Test Script to another test Script in Test Lab

Hi All,

We are looking at creating script dependency links, i.e. if scripts are dependent on each other.

As we can link a defect to another defect, can we link a script to another script?

Thanks,

Re: Can we link a Test Script to another test Script in Test Lab

Hi Pindu,

Why do you want to do this?  You cannot link one test instance to another in Test Lab, as you would link a test to a requirement, or a defect to another defect.  You can, however, place execution dependency conditions on a test instance.  In other words, you can have the execution of a test depend on the completion or success of another test.  You can also place time dependencies on test executions.

Not sure if that meets your needs.

For ALM 11, in Test Lab, select Execution Flow, then right-click on a test instance and select TestRun Schedule.  You will see selections for adding Execution Conditions and Time Dependencies.
