HELP ! QC is pointing to a new URL and i cant get all my files i have stored in the OLD URL for QC.

Hello,

I had QC installation point to a URL http:// <ServerName>:8081/qcbin/start_a.jsp

now after a patch up on the server we could not navigate to the above URL so we reinstalled QC and made it point to a new URL http:// <ServerName>:8080/qcbin/start_a.jsp

I now need to make this new URL point to my old databases in QC so that i can recover my old scripts that i had stored in QC. when i log onto my SQL server, i see several instances of DB being created and my project specific DB's being listed.

Someone please advise how i can get the new URL to link to the old DB's so that i see all the earlier projects that i had set up.

thanks,

Sam

What version of QC are you using?

When you reinstalled QC did it create a new Site Admin schema?

One way to get you old projects is to use the Site Admin interface accessed through the new URL to Restore the projects.

When you reinstalled, you should have chosen to use an existing site admin schema.   Maybe you can uninstall and reinstall correctly?
