How to link existing projects to a template

One of our groups would like to leverage the functionality of templates in ALM 12. We have a 100 or so projects that are 'close' to the template but some of them have some differences.  what procedure should I use to get these projects linked to the template so that moving forward we can keep all the projects standardized

Re: How to link existing projects to a template

Have you reviewed the Administrator Guide chapters that concern Cross Project Customization?

Re: How to link existing projects to a template

Hi David

What you need to check is the consistancy of the local User Defined fields with the Template ones. i.e. if you have created a field both locally and in the template that has the same purpose then these need to be aligned. Once aligned you can then link the Project to the template, apply the customisations - check there are no errors, and then remove the local fields

Hope this helps

Thanks

Martin
