How to pass data between scripts if one is running on different host??

Hi,

I have a scenario where I am running set of automation script from QC, out of which one I need to run in a different host machine.

i.e.

script name                     Host Machine

Login                  ---            host 1

Testcase1         ----           Host 1

Testcase 2       -----          Host 2

Logout                ---          Host  1

Issue: Testcase one script creates some runtime data which is passed as input to Testcase2 script. If we run it on the same host there are various options to pass value (creating temp file etc.) but as the script is running on a different host all together I am not sure how to pass the runtime data.

Any pointer would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Parveen

I got it....

We can update the QTP Input parameters in QC at run time and use it in next script.

Or:
  • Save a text file to a shared drive with the info
  • Save info to a database
