LDAP settings

We are planning to upgrade SAP QC 10.0 to 11.0 and implementing LDAP

I need some details on the LDAP settings.

We have a QC 10.0 server (App & DB) in domain XXXX

Our New QC 11.0 server (APP  & DB ) in domain YYYY

Currently users are in XXXX domain so if we setup the LDAP in our new QC 11.0 server, do we face any issue to access QC 11.0 as the new server is in QC YYYY domain or do we need to setup any extra settings to access the LDAP.

Thanks

Re: LDAP settings

When you configure QC for LDAP you have to specify a host that QC can access to validate the user against. What domain will that system be in compared to your QC server?

Re: LDAP settings

Will all the users be defined in only the XXXX domain? Is YYYY a totally separate domain, or are these two domains in the same forest with either a parent/child relationship or a sibling relationship?

Re: LDAP settings

The XXXX and YYYY are in the same network.

All the users are in XXXX domain but the new servers are in YYYY domain

This is because our company is slowly migrating from XXXX to YYYY domain may be in later part all the users and the servers will be in YYYY domain.

Thanks
