Pop up message on open screen

Hi,

We would like to show a popup message if the user opens a ticket. The pop message should state something like "Request not yet approved'. To make it a bit more complex, to determine whether the request is approved, we need to look for the status of the linked entity. For example, myDefect.LinkedEnties[0].Fields["Status"] == "Approved"

Questions:

1. How can I add a pop up message when the defect details are loaded in the window?

2. How can I browse through the linked entities, and search for the status?

Any help is greatly appriciated!

Dirk

Re: Pop up message on open screen

Displaying a pop-up when the Defect Details screen is opened should be rather straight forward.

1. Determine the action being executed when the Defect Details screen is opened - you can place code in the Action_can_execute function to determine what action is being called - something like MsgBox "action_name"

2. Place code within the appropriate action to display the pop-up - MsgBox "Request not yet approved"

checking the status of the linked entities will be a bit more difficult.
