Re: Server on has entered an unstable state, please contact your site administrator

Hi Paul,

In ALM application server , all the ALM application site administration event logs will be captured in (SA) logs folder.

Open last logged/updated SA log file and search for this specific error message.

Go through the records on top of this error message, you will be able to identify the cause for the error message.

Also there will be another wrapper.log file in ALM application folder.go through the contents of this wrapper.log and you will be able find out reason for error message in the last updated records.

Ideally at all times , prior to start of ALM service on ALM application server , prerequisite is that Database server & application filer should be already up and running .

This error may arise If ALM service gets started without availability of either database or filer.

Thanks for reaching us back.

Such issue could be cuased due several reasons, it is important to check the wrapper log to validate specific error messages, you can find the wrapper log in this path ( inside your ALM server ): C:\Program Data\HP\ALM\log
