< (ALM) Support Tip > Useful articles for capturing the user full name via workflow code

The following articles  are useful to develop worflow code for capturing the user full name in ALM:

Morever, please check this customization steps to load the full name in an user defined field:

1. Log on a project with project administrator user.
2. Go to Tools -> Customize -> Project entities -> Defect -> 'User fields' folder -> 'New field' button -> Set a name for the field. By these steps will create an additional column for the defect grid.
3. To make the new column visible: Go to Defects.
4. From the menu -> View -> "Select columns" and move the new field from the "available columns" section to the "visible columns".

This code should be placed into the Defect module script -> Sub Bug_MoveTo:

Sub Bug_MoveTo
'On Error Resume Next
	If len(Bug_Fields.Field("BG_RESPONSIBLE").Value) > 0 Then

	   Dim td
	   Dim bFact
	   Dim bItem
	   Dim cust
	   Dim custUsers
	   Dim custUser

	   Set td = TDConnection
           Set cust = td.Customization
           cust.load
           Set custUsers = cust.Users
	   Set custUser = custUsers.User(Bug_Fields.Field("BG_RESPONSIBLE").Value)
	   Set bFact = td.BugFactory
	   Set bItem = bFact.Item(Bug_Fields.Field("BG_BUG_ID").Value)
	   bItem.Field("BG_USER_01") = custUser.FullName
	   bItem.Post

	   Set bItem = Nothing
	   Set bFact = Nothing
	   Set custUser = Nothing
 	   Set custUsers = Nothing
	   Set cust = Nothing
	   Set td = Nothing

	End If
'On Error GoTo 0
End Sub
