<QC/ALM Support Tip> Rich text/Memo fields font changes aren't applied in Project Reports ALM11.5x
In ALM 11.5x the font changes to rich text or memo based fields (e.g. Description, Expected Result, Actual Result, Comments, etc.) are not applied in Project Reports and this is the expected behavior. The reason the styling of the rich text in the template does not affect the styling in the generated project report is that it is a rich text. Therefore it is treated as HTML and the document styling does not apply to it.
Since this behavior is not suitable for most customers, the following workaround could be applied:
The ability to override the HTML memo fields style (font) in the generated project reports will be done by using a specially named style "Project Report HTML" in the report templates.
All HTML memo fields marked in the "Entity Templates" with this style will be added to the report using this style as defined in the "Style Template" rather than any style implied by the tags in the actual HTML.
The following are the steps that should be done:
1. Add a new style of "character" style type called "Project Report HTML" to all relevant report entity templates
2. Set all the relevant HTML memo merge fields to use this new style in the entity templates
3. Add the new style of "character" style type called "Project Report HTML" to the "Style Template" and define the style setting (font, size, etc.) as required in the report
4. Upload these new templates
5. Generate the report.
Note: There is a limitation that the user can define only one style in the style template that apply to all rich text.
