Unknown mode when typing in Reflection for IBM

When I'm typing in Reflection for IBM (16), sometimes I get an unfamiliar status in the status line, and I have to hit Escape to get out of whatever mode it is. It usually happens when I am just to the side of an input line, but it also happens if I'm in insert mode and there's too much to the right for any more data to be entered. I have no idea what it is, but it's not appearing in any of my colleagues sessions so I'd like to disable it. Any ideas?

Hello Nuadha,

The OIA status line "X <- stickman ->" in the image you shared means that you are attempting to place a character in a protected field. You man need to further configure your terminal settings. If you need additional assistance with your settings, contact Micro Focus Customer Support.

Re: Unknown mode when typing in Reflection for IBM

I was able to get it fixed. While technically the error still occurs (protected field, etc.), it was the fact it "held" my keyboard til I hit escape that was an annoyance.

The setting I changed was:

Terminal Configuration >> Terminal Settings >> Input (section) >> Keyboard Error >> Select "Auto reset when a keyboard error occurs"
