Change Reply-To in Notification Email

Discussion posted 10/20/08 by Damir Jagodic
Details:

Is there any way to hardcode Reply-to email in the notification settings? Currently we use one email address (set up in ManageServices > Properties > SMTP) for our notifications. However we would like to change the address to make the project specific. For example Helpdesk should have helpdesk@company.com, HR would have hr@company.com, etc. We do not want to use the generic Reply-to last modifier but would rather hardcode the email for each each project. Is there any way to do this?

Hi Damir,
I don't think this is possible.
A workaround would be to have a different email template for each project and add something within the template telling people to respond to a specific email address. Or to use the 'mailto' tag within your template: <a href="mailto: helpdesk@company.com">Reply</a> (this only work if your template is an html template and your email client reads html emails)
Regards,
Olivier
