How do I debug a notification that runs a web service?

I have an escalation that runs a web service. Currently I don't know if the escalation fires, or if the web service returns correctly.

I have verified the soap envelope in a program called SOAPUI, and I have implemented an orchestration that runs the same envelope. I have been able to map the returned field I want, however I need to nuance of an escalation for my system.

How do I verify that an escalation has fired?

How do I debug an escalation web service?

Any information is appreciated!

Check the contents of ns.log (the notification engine log file). Full path can be found in Configurator.
