Importing into Aux table

Discussion posted 3/29/08 by Michaline Todd

The last time I used the Import from database wizard, I created ˜1000 records. Then, when a user created a ticket in a primary table, the item ID jumped by 1000.
If we go through every project and UNcheck the box "Use paraent project's sequence numbers" will this prevent that fom happening? If not, how do you keep them separate?

Remember that if you are submitting to the same project level where you created your first 1000 records, then it will follow the same sequence. If you created the records at the parent level, but want the users to submit to the child level, then you just need to uncheck the "Use paraent project's sequence numbers" checkbox and it will have its own sequence (not depending on the parent).
