create subtask transition using web service call

In SBM, I am trying to create a subtask transition using web service. It always shows privilege error

"A privilege required to process the last request was not held by the user".

But I have all privileges.

Did anyone come across this error please let me know the solution.

Maybe this is a dumb question but when you setup the auth for the web service did you use a user that has access to create the subtask?

I'm sorry that was the only idea I had. Give it some time perhaps someone else can help.

I don't think you can actually use the TransitionItem call but you would probably want to take a look a CreatePrimaryItem and the LinkSubtask calls instead.

Re: create subtask transition using web service call

Thanks Brian. I have tried but it shows unknown exception occurred. I have passed like this

createPrimaryItem(authentication, oProjectIdentifier, itemIdentifier1, item1, null, null);

Project identifier -> new project id

Item Identifier1 -> item details of new primary items information

Item1 - new item created details

Can you please let me know where I have made wrong.

Re: create subtask transition using web service call

If you're not already, you might try using SOAP UI with our web services with that method go get the syntax correct. That tool is a lot easier to get the setting right initially and then move them into sbm.

Thanks Brian. In our company they have restrict to create primary item directly.
