Cannot update as non-suite-admin

Capability to make a modifications of a Person/Group without a Tenant Admin role.
This functionality is important because not every person/group could be a tenant admin and we could not debug it..
Every role has to have a access to save changes on person.

 We need to be able to add the possibility to edit persons to spesific goups, like the cnage manger etc.

This idea related to an issue we face to build our integrations.

Right now, tenant admin role is required to create/update users via Rest API (UMS). It implies integration users require tenant admin role... definitely not a best practice... Integration users should have the lowest level of privilege possible.

New user roles have view access to people and company record. but they are not able to view the people entity unless they have 'access to administrative module is checked.  But providing that shows all administrative options like studio, lists etc. though they cant edit anything. It would be good if they can view people record since they have view access in people and company entities.Peoplerecordsnotvisible.pngThanks

 @Tonya SMAX, I'm not sure why you marked this as a duplicate, and then add a link to the exact same idea.

Anyway, this is a general issue for all master data managed via the Administration menu. In all but the smallest organizations, management of most of that data will be delegated to specific groups which are highly unlikely to be granted the tenant admin role.

Group membership, specific user fields (not related to security) and locations - it should be possible to delete management of all of that to normal users through a specific role that grants access to just these entities.

Hi Team ,

 

I believe this is basic functionality a tool must have  , we cannot say Helpdesk/admin that you can only edit contact records and you may not edit User records .  As per current configuration only tenant admin can edit the user records . We cannot provide tenant admin access to all the helpdesk or admin users as this will expose all the modules to them
