Clearly differentiate on screen between Dev and Prod environments

0 Votes

Change the background of the Dev environment be a different colour or the change the screen template in some other way so that it's immediately obvious which environment is open on screen.

As a result of being an extremely small team (who support SAW for our organisation) we are often interrupted during testing/developing to answer queries about issues in Prod. When opening a new tab to return to our Dev work it'll open in Prod and it's not immediately clear that's what's heppened due ot the Dev tag being so small.

Thank you for sharing your idea! It’s open for comments and kudos, and we’re looking forward to input from the community. Once there is enough community traction, it will be further reviewed by the product team

@ShelleyA in the meantime, two options to suggest (can be used independently or combined)

- Have a special logo on the agent side

- Change the header label

Combined with the  Dev tag perhaps that will have a meaningful difference.

Thanks @Tonya SMAX, the suggestions are helpful, but unfortunately they're still not quite as obvious as we'd like. We been using a different colourways on the Dev version of the portal and find that works really well. Being able to amend the screen header to a different colour would be really useful.
