Enforce Uniqueness in custom fields

Hello:

It is necessary to have the possibility of defining a "key field" in applications and custom fields to enforce each record to be unique according to the values of that custom field.

Hi,

Can you explain your particular use case in more detail?  What are you trying to accomplish?

Thanks, Steve.

We urgently need this property to be made available for custom fields.
Many of our customizations are pending.

We have created a new application in SMAX and need a field to be the key, that field was created like SMALL TEXT and it was marked as force as unique. When a record is added the expected behavior is that SMAX does not allow adding another record if that field has the same string as an existing one.

I have tested the following and it is available in SMAX 2020.02

  1. Create application
  2. Create record
  3. create Unique key (small text)
  4.
  5. Create forms
  6. Try to add the duplicate data in Unique key
  7. SMAX does not allow it and error pops-up.

Not sure if you are looking for something similar?

Hello Misaq, yes... we need the key field to be validated with the enforce uniqness as in the rest of the OOB applications, So,  is it working on version 2020.02?

Thank you for your replay
