External Approval for Service Requests

External Approval for Service Requests

The Task Plan/Approval for Requests does not contain external approval (OO).

This is a common feature with our ITOM suite. For the sake of harmonization would be perfect if we can use the same mechanism in SMAX.

Hi @vonderhe - can you please add information about the use case, what/why you're trying to do? WIll make it easier for the community to vote, whether or not they're familiary with the OO method

Sample Use Cases:

Approval needed from an external system for a new Badge (SAP, SFDC, ...)

Approval needed from persons, or groups not in the same LDAP/AD

Approval is based on a KI system (... other persons that ordered that item in the same manner with the same role ...)

As an use case, some Customers are using mobile apps or portals which aggregate pending approvals from different systems such as ERP, ITSM application, HR application, etc. So the user can see all the pending approvals on a single screen and can give approval through that mobile app. or portal and in the backend relevant application's API is called to give approval.
