List Based editing option for Asset manager

0 Votes

Hello Experts,

Major requirement from one of our client that they want to feed the data into system and it should be update multiple records at same time.

Multi-edit’ option feature is available in Asset manager but it only allow to update the set of records with the same values, what if the user want to update multiple record with the diffrent values and at the same time.

In above scenario the customer wanted to enable the list option where user can feed the data in list view only. (User dont want to open the details section and feed the data in single record).

Kindly help!

Regards,

Pooja

We have in the past created a wizard where the user could paste spreadsheet data into a text box field.  The data would have to be in an exact format but could be processed as rows of data to be updated.

We created  wizard with a text box that a user could paste formatted spreadsheet data into.  A Command button processed the pasted data into rows of a listbox and did some pre-validation of the data.   Upon successful checks of the data the Finish Do of the wizard did the insert/updates of data.  One or many rows of inserted data could be processed this way.

Just wanted to add that this worked for both the windows client and web client.
