Need a way to have several localization in the portal

0 Votes

We need to change the labels, pop-ups, messages only in the Portal in several languages.
The localization tool provides only one language at a time (the zip json files), so we need to do that for several languages and based on the user login language the Portal will look differently, this is the goal.

Alex

Currently, only one localization is supported, we need to have more than one, for example, German and French.

Case ID: SD02617852 R&D`s feedback:

It’s not possible to mix several languages (localizations) at same time on one page so e.g. one page viewed by the user may have a label in German and then another label in French.

@Alex_D this is correct, service portal's language is based on current login user's settings. could you please provide more details about what use case required for mixed language in one page?

We have users and customers in more than 10 countries. Currently, the localization tool could localize the system only in one language.  We need to have the Portal in more languages based on the user login language.

@Alex_D currently we support generating multiple language packs by leveraging open L10N capabilities, and you can apply all the updated language packs to the same SMA instance.

@Ming-Feng you can generate them, but the file name is the same and when you upload it the old file is gone. This has been confirmed by R&D before. Have you checked the case I mentioned?
