SMA containers to use standard kubernetes or Openshift

Hello,

Currently it's only possible to install SMA on the CDF (Kubernetes) delivered by MICRO FOCUS.

But since we alrady have an implementation of OpenShift in our company, we would like to have the ability to install SMA witout installing CDF but instead be able to deploy it on standard kubernetes/OpenShift.

It would facilitate the management of our infrastructure by using alreadyin place solution

Support for other CaaS distribution such as Red Hat OpenShift is in our long-term roadmap. We continue to monitor market trends, customer requests and assess coverall customer maturity when it comes to introducing a new container-based delivery & deployments model within their organization.

Some clients are requesting the deployment on Openshift

If I'm not mistaken, last version of SMAX, 2019.08, supports commercial kubernetes in addition to MicroFocus kubernetes.

Also my customers are asking for OpenShift.

Thanks,

Roberto

A lot of our customers are also waiting for Openshift to be supported. Is there any update on this?

We heard that it might be available with Version 2020.05. Is this correct?
